Must be wait a new 429 with 140/150 fork to have a trail bike with first class descending performance?

We did see a new 6-bar DH prototype with an upper guide pulley that the team will be racing on soon. We should have more on it shortly, but it was interesting to hear that during testing the times were so similar to the DW link prototype that it was “splitting hairs.” But the team felt that the 6-bar version was faster, so that’s what they’re testing now. It’s not DW6, but it’s a departure from the typical dw-link system.

This current iteration is getting long in the tooth. It may pedal great but leaves much to be desired in steep rowdy terrain. I guess the simplicity and higher profit margins of the solid rear triangle (SRT) design are just too enticing. Still a great bike but always room to improve.
