A few weeks ago, while covering the bike goodness that is at the Philly Bike Expo, I saw some pretty amazing bicycles. Honestly too many to write about individually, but I felt that they needed to be seen. So, here is a photo gallery of the bikes that I found interesting, or just caught my eye.

Philly Bike Expo

Who is Behind the Philly Bike Expo?

Bina Bilenky owns, organizes, orchestrates, and is the ring leader for the extraordinary circus that is the Philly Bike Expo. She is a resident of Lewisburg, PA., and is the daughter of Stephen Bilenky of Bilenky Cycle Works.

She grew up around bicycles her whole life and eventually saw a need for an East coast event that would showcase the independent frame builder. It was in 2010 when she started helping her dad with the show, after a busy first couple of years she was in the director’s seat, letting her dad concentrate on building bikes. In 2016 Bina became the owner of the show and has been passionately running it ever since.

Now, back to the bike list. There’ll probably be a good chance that I may, unintentionally leave a few manufacturers out of this list. Also, please know that this is, in no way, a “best of” or even “my favorite” list. This list could be photos of full bikes to photos of the incredible frame-building details some of these builders are capable of. The attention to detail on some of these is really amazing. I think you guys will dig it.

Steel is still very real at the Philly Bike Expo.

OK, let’s do this… in no particular order, enjoy!

There are some amazing artisan builders in the USA. Glad to see they are carrying on the tradition of handmade bikes.
